The philosophy of sound sleep
|
| |
| For more than 35 years,
Hartmann Kunststofftechnik has been setting standards in the philosophy
of sound sleep . A healthy and relaxing sleep supports vital functions.
On the one hand, the spine is regenerated On the other hand, essential
metabolic processes take place and the restoration of the cellular
tissue is encouraged. Basically there are two crucial components
ensuring a good night's sleep. |
| |
 |
| |
1. The mattress
- The mattress has to support the resting
body in an anatomically correct support in all possible sleeping
positions.
- A good mattress provides uniform support
to the entire body and adapts to its shape. It gives way only where it
is loaded (pin-pointed elasticity), but not beyond that point.
- As a sleeper changes his or her position
some 30 to 50 times a night, the follow-up vibrations of the mattress
should be as brief as possible.
- A good mattress must discharge body fluid
from the body to the surrounding air to provide a pleasant and dry
sleeping atmosphere (vertical and horizontal air circulation).
- It is advisable to replace mattresses
after using them 7 to 10 years. The reasons are deteriorating hygiene
characteristics and upholstery fatigue.
- Ideally, the hardness of the mattress
should be adapted to the sleeper's individual weight.

| |
| 2. The slatted
frame |
| |
| A good slatted frame
has to fully adapt to the individual anatomy of the sleeper and each
part of its body has different requirements. Brief overview: The neck
area should be slightly raised, the shoulder and buttocks area slightly
lowered whereas the small of the back have to be supported again. The
motorized drive systems by Hartmann Asytec facilitate operation of the
frame and increase sleeping and living comfort while taking into
account the anatomical requirements. |
| |
These
requirements can be met by various means:
Belitec
Asyromatic slatted frame
drive
Asyturn adjusting drive
|
| |
| |
| To sum it up
it can be said: |
| |
| An adjustable slatted
frame is no less important than a mattress offering pin-pointed
flexibility. Our recommendation: Test a frame together with a mattress
and take expert advise! |
